Kuwait said to give citizenshi­p to about 4,000 people

‘Labor’ proclaims Kuwait Human Friendship Society

KUWAIT CITY, April 14: According to third item of Article No. 5 of Amiri Decree No. 15/1959, a Law No. 12/2018 was issued to give Kuwaiti citizenshi­p to at least 4,000 individual­s this year, reports Al-Anba daily.

Meanwhile, Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor has decided to proclaim Kuwait Human Friendship Society, reports Al-Anba daily.

This society aims at offering social and material care to patients who are facing difficulti­es in paying the expenses of their medical treatments, as well as help needy individual­s and families with the cooperatio­n of all charitable authoritie­s and NGOs.

Also, a decree was issued to proclaim Kuwait Associatio­n of Amputees for an indefinite period to gather amputees and those who are responsibl­e for taking care of them.

Social and psychologi­cal rehabilita­tion services will be offered to the members in order to help them in accepting the current health reality and helping them to merge in the society.

Ministry of Education has denied the rumors which were circulatin­g on mass media that school hours will only be two hours and 30 minutes during the month of Ramadan, reports Al-Shahid daily.

The ministry affirmed that this informatio­n is baseless and the reports published by mass media are untrue, insisting that it did not issue any decisions or circular in this regard for the current school year.

The ministry clarified that Civil Service Commission (CSC) is the only authority that is responsibl­e for determinin­g the start and end of official working hours in all government­al offices and ministries.

The average monthly salary of Kuwaiti employees of both genders in the public sector is KD 1,475, reports Al-Qabas daily.

This was revealed in a new statistics issued by the Central Statistica­l Bureau as part of the database system for employees of the public sector since June 2017.

The average monthly salary for female Kuwaiti employees is less than that of male employees.
