British Business Forum holds monthly meeting
‘Goal to identify, improve social media’
KUWAIT CITY, April 19: The British Business Forum (BBF), a nonprofit association of British business people in Kuwait held its monthly meeting last week.
The guest speaker of the evening was Roland Najm — a Certified Trainer & Content Developer from ISTD — International Society for Trainers and Developers.
Addressing the BBF members and their guests, Najm explained in detail how social media users can benefit from most of these networks.
He said, the goal is to identify and improve social media and its strategies, accelerate information flow and drive business performance in enterprise.
He went on to say, the social media refers to web-based platforms that allow users to create, share, rate and search for content and information. These tools become ‘social’ in the sense that they are created in ways that enable users to share and communicate with one another.
This includes mixture of webbased technologies and services blogs, micro-blogs, social sharing platforms and social networking services, he added.
He said Instagram, for example, unlike other social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc, helps people to build strong business relationships and doing the right thing with the right people.
At the end of the event BBF Treasurer Donald Teale honored Najm for accepting the invitation and giving a deep insight into the social media means.
