Prime Minister welcomes launching of joint projects with Boeing
Move to benefit national economy and build local capabilities

KUWAIT CITY, April 19, (KUNA): His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad AlSabah met on Thursday at Seif Palace president of Boeing Middle East, North Africa and Turkey Bernie Dunn and his accompanying delegation.
His Highness the Prime Minister expressed Kuwait’s welcome of launching joint projects with Boeing to benefit the national economy and support the transfer of modern technology as well as provide training opportunities and building local capabilities.
His Highness the Premier said that the State of Kuwait provides all facilitations to such initiatives.
His Highness the Prime Minister stressed that the country also is keen on building effective partnerships, which lead to mutual positive effects and benefits.
Boeing company works with Kuwait Airways, Australian College of Kuwait and Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) in order to provide the best ways to help materialize Kuwait’s 2035 vision through investment in the aviation sector.
His Highness the Premier’s Diwan Chief Sheikha Itemad Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of KDIPA Sheikh Dr Meshaal Jaber AlAhmad Al-Sabah and Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh were present at the meeting.
Kuwait Cartoon Society will organize a cartoon exhibition titled “Kuwait Cartoon” to display over 60 paintings of cartoon characters at the new extension of Grand Plaza in Avenues Mall on Thursday, reports Al-Anba daily.
The event will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Duaij Al-Khalifa Al-Sabah and 20 cartoonists are billed to present their works. The exhibition will be unique with display of the paintings of famous cartoon characters drawn by Kuwaiti cartoonists for the first time, in addition to social caricature of notable personalities within the Kuwaiti society.
The society announced its intention to organize the second Ramadan competition in collaboration with Zain Company. The event titled “Ramadan Caricature” will be opened to citizens and expatriates, and winners of the first three places will receive mobile phones.
Topics for the competition will cover fasting, Iftar gun, purchases, Ramadan series, girgean and preparations for Eid. Competitors should send at least three caricatures to the society via email “mailto:kuwaitcartoons@ gmail.com” latest by June 2.
