KUWAIT CITY, April 19: Committed to empowering Kuwaiti talent, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) joined the American University of the Middle East (AUM) for its career fair, which was held on April 17 and 18 on AUM’s Campus. The event aimed at bridging the gap between students and the professional world, by providing an easily accessible platform for networking and recruitment.
AUM is a leading higher education institution in Kuwait, that provides world-class academic curriculum to intellectually challenge and engage its students, while putting them at the center of all their initiatives. Established in 2008, the university has succeeded in attracting students from the entire region. Today, it has a total of 9,474 enrolled students.
Conscious of the need to connect students and potential employers, the university regularly holds employment fairs. By participating in the event, students can get exposure and gain greater understanding of today’s market expectations in terms of technical proficiencies and soft skills.
In a statement, Hamza Enki, General Manager — Human Resources at ABK affirmed: “ABK has always been keen to show its support to the younger talent in Kuwait. It is not our first time participating in events where young professionals and companies meet. To us, it represents a chance to identify high caliber graduates, who can join the ABK family and concurrently bring along fresh and innovative ideas to the bank. I believe that our ever growing talent pool have all the merits to be continuously encouraged. We insist that their success contributes to our societies’ realization and prosperity.”
During the event, ABK representatives introduced the students to the banking sector working model as well as to professional opportunities within the organization.
