KIB sponsors ‘Food Truck’ workshop
In a continuation of the bank’s ongoing commitment to supporting ideas of ambitious youth, Kuwait International Bank (KIB) sponsored the Food Truck workshop, which was organized by Al Morooj General Trading and held at the Millennium Hotel and Conference Centre, Kuwait. The event attracted a large number of small business owners and culinary entrepreneurs. The workshop provided a great opportunity to introduce the local community to the mobile food industry, how to operate a food truck, and walk them through the steps needed to obtain the permits and licenses required and business incorporation.
On his part, Manager of the Corporate Communications Unit at KIB, said: “KIB’s sponsorship of this unique workshop comes as a reflection of its commitment to support innovative projects spearheaded by youth, particularly those which impact the community as a whole. These projects have truly proven that young local talents are able to turn their ideas into successful businesses. Nowadays, food trucks are becoming increasingly popular and have achieved great success in the food preparation industry, enabling youth to achieve unforeseen profits in this growing industry.
We will always continue to support youth by empowering them to take ownership and encouraging them to seek the path of selfemployment.”
KIB dedicates a large portion of its efforts towards supporting students’ ideas and sponsoring their projects that aim at serving all segments of the local community. As a leading national institution in the area of social responsibility, the bank continuously supports local youth, believing in the vital role they play in shaping the nation’s future.
