KIB holds 8th Ramadan football tournament for its staff
Bank promotes sports, health, fitness
KUWAIT CITY, May 24: As part of its leading social responsibility program taking place throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan, Kuwait International Bank (KIB) recently organized its 8th annual Ramadan football tournament for its staff. The tournament is organized annually as part of the Bank’s comprehensive Ramadan program covering a wide range of different areas, such as sports, culture, religion, as well as various humanitarian initiatives taking place during the Holy Month.
On his part, Nawaf Najia, Manager of the Corporate Communications Unit at KIB, said: “Every year, we organize this special tournament as part of our diverse program of initiatives and activities which focuses on all segments of the community. Our comprehensive program aims at serving the entire community including customers, as well as employees and their families. Of course, this initiative falls in line with our new strategic direction, which establishes us as partners in every aspect of a person’s life; a ‘Bank for Life’.”
Najia pointed out that the tournament was designed to allow for our staff to come together in a fun and active social context — providing a great opportunity for team bonding, a fun competitive environment for players, and a chance to meet new people from across the bank. KIB staff eagerly awaits the tournament every year, and as such the number of participants in this tournament grows more and more.
KIB always strives to support youthbased activities and sports events, particularly during Ramadan. This comes as part of the bank’s strong commitment to promoting sports, health, and fitness across all segments of the local community.
