IDAK conducts oral health awareness seminar at ICSK

KUWAIT CITY, June 10: The Community Welfare Wing of the Indian Dentists Alliance in Kuwait (IDAK) was invited to give an Oral Health Awareness Seminar for kids of Indian Community School Salmiya, Junior Branch, who are attending the Summer Camp — The Sunshine 2018. Dr Prathap Unnithan, Chairman of the Community Welfare Wing conducted the very interactiv­e one hour presentati­on for kids of 3rd to 6th grade on the importance of oral hygiene.

They were explained the need to eat healthy for having healthy teeth, the necessity to abstain from sugary colas and junk food, the reasons to strictly brush at night before bed time, the correct brushing technique and the immediate measures to be taken if there is an injury to the teeth due to an accident or fall. The presentati­on was followed by a really engaging Q&A session where kids cleared all their doubts and creative curiositie­s regarding dental care.

IDAK doctors Dr Ajay Vazhiyodan, Dr Simi Bhargavi, Dr Krishnakum­ar Kochunaray­anan and Dr Javed Parker provided the logistical support for the event. IDAK Community Welfare Wing is highly appreciati­ve of “Dental 8 Clinic” for their continued support for our social welfare activities by providing kids tooth brush samples which were distribute­d to the kids after the presentati­on and Oral B for toothpaste samples which were shared among camp volunteers and supporting staff.
