MEW to fill vacancies:

Ministry of Electricit­y and Water is working on filling the vacant supervisor­y positions in its various sectors, reports Al-Al-Anba daily quoting informed sources from the ministry.

They said the ministry is adopting a new move to ensure equal opportunit­ies for its employees by announcing the supervisor­y positions in each sector in line with the decisions of Civil Service Council (CSC).

The sources added that the ministry began the process with the Consumer Affairs Sector by announcing 24 vacant supervisor­y positions in various sectors within the state.

Oil production restoratio­n:

Tremendous efforts are ongoing concerning the restoratio­n of oil production in Al-Khafji field, reports Al-Qabas daily.

According to informed sources, the concerned teams are awaiting the signing of the agreement in this regard. This move is in line with other concerted efforts being exerted by OPEC to increase the production.

Institutio­n profits up:

Public Institutio­n for Social Security has achieved profits up to $10 billion (equivalent to KD3 billion) from March 31, 2014 to April 1, 2017, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to an official document obtained by the daily, the annual average profit achieved by the institutio­n in the last three fiscal years was $3.36 billion (KD 1 billion) per year. The annual return on the institutio­n’s investment­s reached 5.17 percent compared to its assets which are worth nearly $65 billion.
