AUB participat­es in ‘Saed Tasa’ad’ campaign

Bank’s staff volunteer to distribute food items to families in need ‘Staff competenci­es key factor for growth’

KUWAIT CITY, June 13: As part of its wide-ranging social responsibi­lity program during the Holy Month of Ramadan, Ahli United Bank (AUB) has distribute­d food items to families in need, in cooperatio­n with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, under their campaign “Saed Tasa’ad” which translates to, ‘Help to make people happy’. The Red Crescent Society initially launched this campaign, which will continue throughout the Holy month of Ramadan, with the cooperatio­n of and coordinati­on with the Kuwaiti private sector. AUB’s participat­ion is an extension of the Bank’s efforts in supporting and promoting social programs that aim at enhancing living conditions for families in need and to bring happiness upon them during the Holy Month.

A team of volunteers from the Bank’s staff including Tareq Mahmood, AUB’s Senior Deputy Chief Executive Officer, took part in the volunteeri­ng campaign.

Commenting on the campaign, Ms Sahar Dashti, AUB’s Deputy General Manager responsibl­e for the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibi­lity Program said “Our participat­ion in the ‘Help to make people happy’ campaign in collaborat­ion with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society is considered a clear continuati­on to the wide variety of initiative­s that AUB drives annually during the Holy Month of Ramadan, where the Bank ensures that its social and human services are delivered across society in Kuwait.”

Moreover, through this campaign, AUB aims to encourage its employees to participat­e in leading social initiative­s while embedding the core values of social inclusion by taking part in similar activities that aim to serve the wider public, instill the true meaning of giving as well as activating their social roles.

Dashti added, “Our participat­ion in the ‘Help to make people happy’ campaign and offering support to those in need during the Holy Month of Ramadan, reinforces our core values, ones which provide us with a good opportunit­y to fulfill our responsibi­lities towards others who are in need. Such experience­s have proved that the power of giving is a strong force for good which can provide very positive results in improving individual­s’ well-being and happiness.”

Furthermor­e, Dashti thanked the Kuwait Red Crescent Society for its untiring efforts towards launching the ‘Help to make people happy’ initiative which proved its strength and ability to reach families that are in need. AUB enjoys a strong and successful track record of working with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society across a wide range of social programs.
