Amir performs Eid prayers, receives greetings
KUWAIT CITY, June 18, (KUNA): His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah performed Eid Al-Fitr prayers at the Grand Mosque early on Friday.
His Highness the Amir was accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali AlGhanim and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah as well as other senior state officials.
Meanwhile, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Friday received a phone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan who congratulated him on Eid Al-Fitr.
Erdogan wished the occasion would recur with blessings for the two countries, praying for His Highness the Amir’s perpetual wellbeing.
Appreciating the Turkish President’s generous initiative that embodies the deep-rooted ties between the two nations and their peoples, His Highness the Amir congratulated Erdogan on the Eid, wishing him everlasting good health to achieve the aspired progress and prosperity for the Turkish people.
His Highness the Amir on Saturday received a telephone call from Egyptian President Abdelfatah el-Sisi on Eid AlFitr.
In the call, el-Sisi expressed sincere congratulations to His Highness the Amir, praying to Allah for many happy returns of this cheerful occasion for both Arab and Muslim nations, and everlasting wellbeing to His Highness the Amir.
His Highness the Amir thanked el-Sisi for this call which embodies the depth of relations between the two countries and their peoples.
His Highness the Amir wished further progress and prosperity to Egypt, and everlasting good health to el-Sisi.
His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Monday expressed gratitude to the nationals and residents who expressed good wishes on advent of Eid Al-Fitr.
His Highness Sheikh Nawaf invoked His Almighty to mark the occasion with abundant blessings and wished the citizens and residents sustainable welfare. He also prayed for heavenly blessing for all steps for the promotion of the dear homeland, under the shadow of the leader “of our march and renaissance His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.”
