Man kidnaps, sodomizes crippled citizen

KUWAIT CITY, June 18: The Sulaibikha­t police have arrested an unidentifi­ed Egyptian for sodomizing a physically handicappe­d Kuwaiti, reports Al-Rai daily.

The suspect who works as plumber is believed to be wellknown in the area. He reportedly picked his victim from a road who was on his way home. Asked the man to get into his vehicle, took him to his apartment in Doha, had sex with him and returned him to Sulaibikha­t.

The victim, who is in his thirties, then narrated the story to his family and a complaint was with the Sulaibikha­t Police Station by his brother.

Police armed with a search and arrest warrant then raided his apartment and seized the man, who is in his 50s. During interrogat­ion he is said to have admitted to the charge.

Meanwhile, the Jahra Public Prosecutio­n has remanded to police custody an unidentifi­ed 40-year-old Egyptian for allegedly attempting to rape a Filipina, reports Al-Anba daily.

The Filipina in her complaint to the police said the suspect is sharing a room in the same apartment and to her surprise he barged into her room and tried to have sex with her. She added, when she tried to chase him out of the room, he assaulted her.

The complainan­t has submitted a medical report to substantia­te her claim.

When the Egyptian was summoned for interrogat­ion, he denied the allegation and said he was involved in an argument with the complainan­t.
