TPPFM names SINGsation 2018 finalists
Awarding ceremony on June 29 with live coverage
KUWAIT CITY, June 21: Tunog Pinoy Power FM (TPPFM), an online radio station streaming 24/7 and with almost 12,000 followers on Facebook as to date, launches TPPFM SINGsation 2018. TPPFM SINGsation 2018 is the first ever online singing contest by TPPFM joined by amazing Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) singing talents in Kuwait. Ten amazing finalists were chosen from those who auditioned and their entry videos were posted on Tunog Pinoy Power FM’s Facebook page for voting. Fifty percent from the total votes will be online via Facebook Page (20% from views, 20% from shares and 10% from likes).
The top 10 finalists are: Ruth Aguilo – Antique, Viron Chumacera — Quezon Province, Jonathan Lobo — Makati City, Carlo Delfinado — Tawi-Tawi, Erwin Monge – Mandaluyong, Amethyst Alyanna Suyat — Quezon City, Jerome Hantoc – Antique, Frederick King Balilla — Cotabato City, Juliecyl Mijares — Quezon City, Rose Caryl Suyu — Cagayan Valley. Last casting of votes is on June 25 (11:59 KU Time). Awarding ceremony will be on June 29, Friday with live coverage via TPPFM’s Facebook page. Huge prizes await the runners up and the grand winner.
The remaing 50% will come from distinguished judges. Judging will be based on the following criteria: Voice quality — Tonality, Appropriateness to Genre and Technique (30%), style & performance — Rendition Qualities, Timing & Coordination (10%), and star factor — Appeal (10%)
All of the judges are making names in the Philippine music industry. They are: Kiko Salazar — Album producer for Morissette, Harana, Hashtags and Boybandph, An Awit Awards nominee and awardee, 2-time Himig Handog Finalist, The man behind Morissette’s hit “Akin Ka Na Lang”, Singer/Songwriter/ Producer; Rachel Gabreza — Tawag ng Tanghalan Season 1 Grandfinalist. TNT Divas, Champion in London’s Stars of the Albion Grand Prix 2018; Lucky Robles — Tawag ng Tanghalan Season 1 Quarter 3 Semifinalist and Ultimate Resbaker, Former Vocal Coach of Center for Pop Music, Former Front Act Performer of International Artists... Air Supply, The Platters, Earth Wind and Fire, The Stylistics, Rex Smith, Spandau Ballet, John Ford Coley, Discovered by David Foster in David Foster and friends 2015 in Manila, Vocal Coach of Tawag ng Tanghalan.
TPPFM SINGsation 2018 is a collective idea and effort of TPPFM Kuwait Committee composed of Ivan Louise Ortiz, Charles Vincent Molaco, Charina Cervantes, Michael Andes Olfindo, Ariane Melad, Nomer Cervantes, Ma Roel Guarin, Jhane Narvasa and Imelda Relamas Molaco.
