‘Awqaf’ panels to ensure successful implementation of its strategic plan
Committees to execute all decisions, recommendations from Planning
KUWAIT CITY, June 21: Acting Undersecretary at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Essa Al-Obaidali has issued a decision to establish committees to ensure successful implementation of the ministry’s strategic plan while working toward accomplishing the desired goals, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily added eight committees, including Higher Administrative Council chaired by the undersecretary, and Mosques Affairs Council, Planning and Development Council, Glorious Qu’ran and Islamic Studies Council, Administrative and Financial Affairs Council, Cultural Affairs Council, Fatwa and Islamic Research Council, in addition to Technical Coordination and Foreign Relations Council have been instituted via decision no.1561/2018.
It indicated the committees are in charge of supervision and follow-up of implementation and execution of strategic goals relevant to the respective sectors and “they shall supervise and follow-up implementation and execution of initiatives related to strategic goals of the concerned sectors”. They are to execute all decisions and recommendations from the Planning Committee, it noted.
Also, the committees shall prepare and forward reports and studies concerning the execution of initiatives and achievements in various departments within each of the sectors to the Planning Committee, while taking decisions and implementing procedures to redirect resources and increase achievements and outcome of the strategic initiatives of various departments.
