The medical employees of Al-Bahar Eye Hospital in Al-Sabah Health Zone expressed their disappointment over the dysfunctional fingerprint attendance system at the hospital, which has been forcing them to go to other places to register their attendance. They also lamented about Ministry of Health’s procrastination in replacing the dysfunctional devices, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to informed sources, some employees have been reporting very late for duty under the excuse of fingerprint attendance.
The system has been dysfunctional for almost six months now and employees are forced to register their attendance at Ibn Sina Hospital as the ministry is unable to replace or fix the dysfunctional attendance system.
The employees lodged complaints with the management of the hospital and demanded the system to be repaired but did not receive any positive response. They are now requesting the leadership of Ministry of Health to expedite in repairing the system especially since registering their attendance at Ibn Sina Hospital is causing delays for them, and it is also not logical to register attendance at places other than their own workplace.
