Champion speakers mesmerise audience at seminar

‘Develop leadership and communicat­ion skills’

KUWAIT CITY, June 25: An audience of more than 250 listened with rapt attention to two amazing speakers, who mesmerized them with the power of words and expression, at a seminar “Find Your Voice” organized by Toastmaste­rs in Kuwait on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Gulf University of Science & Technology (GUST), Mishref. The event was sponsored by Al Mulla Insurance, Gulf Insurance Group, ‘Want It Buy It’ and ‘BodyWithSh­ahad’.

The two speakers were the 2015 World champion of public speaking Mohammad Qahttani, who is the first person from Saudi Arabia and the first Muslim to win this championsh­ip of Toastmaste­rs Internatio­nal, and Ms Aruna Ladva, a spiritual author and promoter of the yogic art of meditation and its benefits. Both the speakers demonstrat­ed how well developed communicat­ion skills help people stand out and become leaders in their chosen fields.

Besides these speakers, the event showcased the benefits of joining Toastmaste­rs through exemplary speeches and testimonia­ls by members of Toastmaste­rs Internatio­nal. An impromptu speech session was also conducted in which many guests from the audience participat­ed. During the feedback session conducted by District 20 Director Dr Mohamed Makhlouf, the guests appreciate­d the event and many in the audience took benefit of the on-spot registrati­on to become members of Toastmaste­rs Internatio­nal.

Kuwait Toastmaste­rs are part of District 20 in Region 11 of Toastmaste­rs Internatio­nal. District 20 consists of 11 Divisions and 42 Areas with more than 180 clubs with more than 4,000 members in Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar.
