WASHINGTON, June 25, (RTRS): Teams were informed Monday by the NFL that the 2018 supplemental draft would be held July 11.

The draft takes place via digital communication, with teams using a bid system by round, and surrendering their corresponding pick in that round in next year’s draft if they hold the highest bid.

Recent supplemental draft picks include Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon.

The top available prospects include Western Michigan cornerback Sam Beal and cornerback Adonis Alexander, who applied for the supplemental draft after being ruled academically ineligible by Virginia Tech.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green said he does not have any issues with his current contract, despite showing some support for draft classmate Julio Jones as the Atlanta Falcons wideout holds out for a new deal.

TMZ published a video on Friday in which Green was asked about Jones’ holdout and desire for a new contract.

“He gotta do what he gotta do, man,” Green said of Jones. “NFL stands for ‘Not For Long,’ so gotta get it while it lasts.”

The NFL will hear Julian Edelman’s appeal of his four-game suspension on Monday, ESPN reported Sunday night.

News broke June 7 that the New England Patriots wide receiver was to be punished for violating the league’s policy against performanceenhancing substances. Albert Breer of The MMQB subsequently reported that Edelman’s positive test was for an “unrecognizable substance.”

According to ESPN, Edelman’s appeal will focus on two fronts: the identity of the substance for which he is being suspended, and alleged mishandling of his drug sample during the testing process. and watches past matches online, was not even four when he first started taking an interest in chess.

“He was just six years old when he came second in the under-eight national championship. That is when I knew that I can’t hold him back because of our financial situation,” he told online paper The News Minute.

“He plays other outdoor sports too when he wants to relax his mind,” the prodigy’s father said.

“When his focus is not on the board, he is quite a handful. But he saves most of his aggression for the chessboard,” he said.

Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, India’s sports minister, said Monday that the government was awarding Praggnanandhaa 400,000 rupees ($5,900) plus 100,000 rupees from the National Sports Development fund for training.
