‘Kuwait, Egypt ties historical’
Egypt’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture for Animal Resources, Fish and Poultry Affairs Dr Mona Mehrez Sunday affirmed the deep-rooted historical relations between Egypt and Kuwait at various levels.
In a statement to reporters issued on the sidelines of a meeting held at the Al-Kharafi Diwan in the presence of Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Affairs Mohammed Al-Jabri, Head of the Arabian Horse Center (Bait Al-Arab), and Assistant Undersecretary of the Amiri Diwan Sheikha Sarah Fahad Al-Sabah, she stressed that her current visit to the country is aimed at supporting the bilateral relations and enhancing mutual cooperation between the two countries.
Dr Mehrez highlighted the depth of the Kuwait-Egyptian relations that were prevalent since the last decades and have important stations that will remain engraved in the history and memory of the sister nations.
She described the relations as a model of Arab-Arab relations worth being followed, praising the pivotal role played by the Kuwaiti private sector in enhancing mutual cooperation between the two nations.
On her part, Sheikha Sarah AlSabah issued a similar statement in which she said the Arabian Horse Center (Bait Al Arab) is keen to conclude joint cooperation agreements with the Egyptian side in a way that serves the bilateral relations.
She highlighted the need to activate cooperation for the revival of import of Arabian horses from Egypt after suspension that lasted for years.
In addition, the organizer of the meeting Talal Al-Kharafi said the continuous cooperation between Kuwait and Egypt is witnessing great prosperity driven by the private sector forces in both countries as well as the keenness of the two sides to activate joint work and promote development for the benefit of the two countries.
