MoI working hard to ‘serve’ all visitors at passport office

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 6: Assistant Undersecre­tary for Citizenshi­p and Passport Affairs Major General Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf praised the efforts exerted by the employees of the department, stressing that everyone works to serve citizens and enforce the law, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Major General Sheikh Faisal said this during a tour of the building of General Directorat­e of Citizenshi­p and Passports Affairs.

He praised Assistant Undersecre­tary for Training and Developmen­t Affairs Major Gen Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah who exerted great efforts during his tenure in the sector.

Major General Sheikh Faisal issued instructio­ns that the directorat­e should be capable of receiving a huge number of citizens, completing transactio­ns as quickly as possible and reducing congestion­s in all department­s. He affirmed that the leadership of Ministry of Interior is working hard to serve all visitors under the guidance and directives of Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah and Undersecre­tary of Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General Essam Al-Naham.

Major General Sheikh Faisal called on the directors of the sector to expedite the processing and delivery of electronic passports, stressing that the priority should be given to the elderly, patients requiring overseas treatment, those going on academic missions, and people with special needs.

He listened to the complaints of visitors and the problems they face, urging the directors to open the doors to their offices for all visitors.
