‘Need for regular renewal of data of job applicants every two years’

Kuwaitis in Indonesia ‘safe’ after quake

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 8: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has stressed the need for the regular renewal of the data of job applicants every two years, reports Al-Anba daily quoting informed sources.

They explained that text messages will be sent to the mobile numbers of the job applicants of different qualifications and certifications during a specific period, probably for one month or only one week. The applications of those who do not renew their data will be frozen, and their names will no longer appear in the waiting list.

This step is part of a plan intended to be launched from early September. All applicants with primary level and lower qualifications, comprising about 3,500 citizens, have to visit the CSC headquarters in Shuwaikh area for renewing their data. Renewal of the data will help reorganize the appointment process, and figure out the changes in the social status of some applicants including their marital status and children.

The sources indicated that the process of inviting applicants will start when the period allocated for registering Batch 64 job applicants from August 24 to September 7 ends.

They revealed that the invited applicants will be received in the hall of the CSC headquarters, and only those whose data need to be renewed will be received in the hall allocated for this purpose. After the data of the applicants of primary level and lower qualifications are renewed, the holders of higher qualifications will be invited in line with the time schedule which CSC will announce.

All Kuwaiti citizens are “safe” from the earthquake that hit both islands of Bali and Lombok recently, the embassy said in a statement Wednesday.

In cooperation with local authorities, the embassy checked if there are any Kuwaiti victims or injuries; which there was none, the statement noted.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah ordered all Kuwaiti citizens in both islands to be moved to the Indonesian capital Jakarta, and the embassy is currently arranging for them return home, it pointed out.

Indonesia is hit by earthquakes on a yearly basis due to its location within the “Ring of Fire”; an area close to the Pacific Ocean and one of the most vulnerable areas to earthquakes in the world.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) remains firm in its opinion on renewing the contract of 55 Syrian teachers in accordance with the conditions explained to the Ministry of Education, reports Al-Rai daily.

The CSC clarified that the alleged termination of these teachers is nothing but baseless rumor. This ends the suffering of the Syrian teachers, considering they had earlier appealed to the ministry to divulge the truth about their situation.
