Sheep pens, tents removed

The Central Emergency Team affiliated to the Office of the Director-General of Kuwait Municipali­ty carried out a campaign on sheep pens in Al-Rai area with the cooperatio­n of the Department of Hygiene and Road Works in Capital Municipali­ty, during which 65 illegal sheep pens and ten tents were removed, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a press statement, Deputy Head of the Central Emergency Team Meshal AlMalik said the campaign launched by the team in Al-Rai area targeted sheep pens that are in violation of the laws as well as structures that have exploited public areas without obtaining a license from Kuwait Municipali­ty, which need to be addressed with resolve through applicatio­n of law.

He affirmed that the campaign resulted in the removal of 65 sheep pens of areas ranging from 200 square meters to 500 square meters, ten tents as well as 267 cubic meters of scrap.

Al-Malik stressed that the team will carry out sudden campaigns in all governorat­es to detect violators of law and take necessary legal measures against them, calling on everyone to abide by the municipali­ty regulation­s to avoid citations and fines.

Meanwhile, inspectors from the Municipali­ty Services Control and Follow-up Department of Capital Municipali­ty launched a campaign on commercial shops and complexes in Shuwaikh area during which 16 citations were issued.
