KUWAIT CITY, Aug 14: Porsche Centre Kuwait’s commitment to providing an outstanding experience for its customers has been recognised with the organisation named winner of the Porsche Middle East and Africa Sales Excellence Award 2018. The Porsche Centre’s successful start to the year was further reinforced by the increase of new car deliveries in the first six months of 2018, in comparison to the same period last year.

Part of a global initiative, the Porsche Middle East and Africa Sales Excellence Award identifies and rewards talented teams that embody Porsche’s tradition of placing the customer first, by delivering best-in-class Sales and After Sales services. Markets were evaluated on criteria that included customer satisfaction and analysis of sales performance between February to June 2018. Porsche Centre Kuwait achieved the highest score of 19 markets across the region and was crowned overall winner.

The first six months of 2018 also saw a significant growth for Porsche in Kuwait, with a 26 percent increase in new car deliveries. Primarily driven by the arrival of the third generation Cayenne, Porsche’s flagship SUV, as well as sales of the Macan, the growth reinforced Kuwait’s status as a key market in the region. New sports cars introduced in the first half of the year included several 911 derivatives, such as the GT3 RS and GT2 RS, with the brand’s mid-engine two-seater sports cars the 718 Cayman GTS and 718 Boxster GTS further expanding the line-up.

Callum Bottomley, Brand Manager, Porsche Centre Kuwait, commented: “The strength of the Porsche brand in Kuwait is not just reliant on the unrivaled performance of its sports cars, but also on our team’s commitment to giving customers a stand-out experience right from the moment they walk into our showroom. I am incredibly proud of the team here and delighted their efforts have been formally recognised.

We will continue to strive for excellence, and as such, we are already looking ahead to the completion of our new showroom, Porsche Centre Shuwaikh, which will offer greater access to a range of Porsche services.”

Porsche Centre Shuwaikh will cover 5,500 square meters over five floors, and comprise a showroom, service area, Porsche Carrera Café and museum, bringing the Porsche model range, sports car heritage and unique lifestyle together under one roof. Construction is already well underway with the new facility set to open in 2020.
