NEW YORK, Aug 14, (Agencies): The Milwaukee Bucks have resigned swingman Shabazz Muhammad, according to a report from Yahoo Sports.

Muhammad, 25, averaged 8.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in 11 games at the end of last season with the Bucks. He has averaged 9.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in 278 games (16 starts) with the Bucks and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The 6-foot-6 small forward and shooting guard out of UCLA was a first-round pick (No. 14 overall) in 2013. The Utah Jazz drafted him and promptly sent him to Minnesota along with Gorgui Dieng in exchange for Trey Burke.

Muhammad also appeared in four playoff games last season with the Bucks, which marked the first postseason action of his career. He averaged 6.3 points and 1.0 rebounds while shooting 45 percent (9 of 20) from the field.

Carmelo Anthony, who is coming off the lowest scoring season of his career, signed a one-year contract with the Houston Rockets on Monday.

The deal is worth a reported $2.4 million and means the former all-star forward will be joining his fourth NBA team in just over a year. The Rockets announced the move by posting a photo on Twitter of Anthony signing the contract. The 34-yearold Anthony averaged a career low 16.2 points in 78 games last season with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was traded from the Thunder to the Atlanta Hawks last month before the Hawks released him.

Anthony joins a team led by MVP James Harden and star point guard Chris Paul and is expected to play a bench role for the Rockets.

The third overall pick in the 2003 draft has averaged 24.1 points and three assists in a 15-year career that also included stints with the Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks.

A 10-time all-star, Anthony has won three Olympic gold medals with the United States. He is USA Basketball’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder.

Houston Rockets guard James Harden allegedly was involved in a nightclub incident that is under investigation by the Scottsdale (Ariz.) Police Department.

The incident took place around 2:30 am Saturday, police said.

A TMZ report said a member of Harden’s entourage got into a fight at the club, and when a woman started to record the scuffle, Harden grabbed her wrist and threw her phone onto a nearby roof. The woman, who was treated for a wrist injury at a local hospital, said one of Harden’s associates offered her $200 for the phone and that Harden later gave her $300 to pay for a replacement. Police confirmed Monday that they are looking into the allegations but told the Arizona Republic that it was “far too early in the investigation” to know Harden’s role in the incident.

Harden, who played at Arizona State in nearby Tempe, is the NBA’s reigning Most Valuable Player after averaging 30.4 points, 8.8 assists and 5.4 rebounds per game. He helped the Rockets reach the Western Conference finals, where they lost to the eventual champion Golden State Warriors. In 17 postseason games, Harden averaged 28.6 points, 6.8 assists and 5.2 rebounds. Harden, 28, has averaged 23.0 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game in nine NBA seasons, the first three with the Oklahoma City Thunder and the past six with Houston.

The Miami Heat have signed guard Briante Weber to a partially guaranteed deal for next season, according to a report from Yahoo Sports.

Weber, 25, has averaged 3.2 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game in 45 career contests (four starts). He appeared in one game with Miami during the 2015-16 campaign and also has played for the Charlotte Hornets, Houston Rockets, Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors.

The 6-foot-2, 165-pound guard played collegiately at Virginia Commonwealth, where he was a threetime Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year.
