‘Gulf must warm up to Iran’

‘Need to curb imperialist advances’

-

“IN order to expand the area of influence of Universal Zionism which has allied with Western businessmen, they are working hard to prevent any development or industrial growth in this region (Middle East) which is rich in natural resources including raw materials and ideal location in the middle of the world,” columnist

wrote for daily. “This is in addition to this region’s capability to transform in into a new market in view of its consuming population density. Hence, we found, how the developmental and industrial experiment that had been founded in Egypt during the reign of the Egyptian president the late Jamal Abdul Nasser, which was aborted, and as such Egypt was transformed into just a consumer market, since the beginning of the so-called openness policy.

“Today, they are trying by various means to abort the Iranian nuclear project. To keep them alone to monopolize nuclear energy and science, because this is the science of the future, as the nuclear weapon is no longer fearsome or as a deterrent force after the deployment actually, because those who use it in its war will also not survive its evil.

“Apart from the above, the Egyptian nuclear energy project was suspended and this applies to Iraq and Libya.

“Nowadays, they are attempting to abort the Iranian nuclear project by all means in order to stay alone in terms of having the right to monopolize the nuclear energy and its sciences, simply because this represents the futuristic science.

“The Arab countries have the financial and human potential that Iran might outweigh when there is will. Instead of staying on the sidelines, an audience amongst us is encouraging Zionism against Iran, and a public sympathizing with Iran in the face of Zionist lies.

“Then why don’t we go down to the stadium as a team with the right to practice this technique and not to comply with the Zionist pressure, Arab moderation, or, in other words, the testimony of the good behavior that you have endowed upon us, we have lost so much because of the good behavior we want to be after attempts to deprive our will.

“Zionism is exploiting our silence to dominate us and our capabilities. We should not turn our eyes away from what Zionism is drawing us at, regardless of our view of Iran, on the pretext that it is working to produce a nuclear weapon. The nuclear weapon has been in Israel’s hands for years.

“Iran does not need a nuclear weapon, but it is exercising its right to possess nuclear science, which we Arabs must work to possess. If we are deprived of it by the West because of Zionist pressure, we must go to the East – India, Pakistan, Korea, China, Russia. As long as Zionism is dominant in the West, the West will remain West and the East shall remain the East.

“As a Middle Eastern country, we should be an impenetrable barrier to protect our region from colonial and Zionist ambitions rather than as a bridge to achieve its goals and then eliminate us.

“Not only that we should place our hands in the hands of Iran for the sake of protecting the region instead of creating a state of hostility against it. However, if this happened, then we shall not fear Iran possessing the nuclear sciences as long as we are its partners in this connection.

“Given the above, it would be better for the Middle Eastern states to transform into a robust dam for protecting our region from the imperialistic and Zionistic greediness instead of being a bridge for achieving the purposes of imperialism and Zionism because this is their scheme which is no longer a secret to anybody particularly following a statement which had been issued recently by the American president Donald Trump confirming their intention to dominate the region eventually loot its wealth.

“This is because according to their viewpoint we are not eligible to possess tremendous wealth due to the weakness of our will and because of our poor manners and our readiness to succumb as swiftly as possible to the Zionist Western imperialism.

“Consequently, we should not be transformed into a poniard of this imperialist hand for stabbing ourselves, our brothers and our neighbors in the form of capitulation to a prejudice pressures.”

“The Americans sought the assistance of Iran to bring down the Al-Baath regime in Iraq and as such they supported sectarianism there,” columnist

wrote for daily. “For their part, the Russians, also followed the example of the Americans and resorted to Iran for supporting the regime of the sectarian minority in Syria to oppress the Syrian people.

“However, the Syrians from the very beginning had detected the danger of the Iranian intervention which through its sectarian tendencies was threatening a majority of the Syrians due to its bias to the oppressive sectarian regime there. In other words, the Syrians had come to a conviction that Iran is a foe that should not be accepted at all on Syrian land.

“Such being the case, the earlier years which witnessed mass destruction, displacement and killing in the Syrian cities, had proved the Syrians were right about Iran.

“But the Iraqis found the danger of the Iranian intervention only after (the devastation of Basra) as the famous proverb says, as such, this people had reached to a conviction that the Iranian sectarian influence in Iraq and its involvement in the political struggle and the sectarian militias there, were behind the rampant government corruption and squandering of the Iraqi funds at the expense of the Iraqis who are currently suffering from unemployment, skyrocketing prices and deprivation of electricity and potable water.

“Such being the case, the Iraqis in Al-Basra revolted against their government. They burnt the Iranian consulate in Basra because of the wide Iranian influence there.

“Not only that, the demonstrators in Basra destroyed the premises of the pro-Iran militias and this had resulted in the Iranian regime calling on Iranians to leave Basra immediately and this means Iraq has entered into a phase of dangerous tension with the Iranian regime and we do not rule out a fierce confrontation between the Iraqis and the Iranian influence.”

“Journalism is considered the fourth authority due to its important role and power which sometimes exceeds that of the government,” columnist

wrote for daily. “Journalism is also defined as one of the wings of democracy as it represents the reaction of citizens and it participates in shaping their points of view. Journalism is the echo of freedom and platform of expression, while it plays a major role in defending rights and rectifies shortcomings by highlighting them.

“Thus, the responsibility of journalism is delicate as it addresses the brains, adopts national identity and enhances patriotism, tolerance and national unity. These important roles of journalism are achieved especially if they are based on ethnic, religious and political diversity as the case in Kuwait.

“Actually, journalism could be a double-edged sword. This means it can be a tool for construction and participate in intellectual development and social maturity because it can enter each home and reach every citizen. On the other hand, it can be a devastating means that polarizes society, deepens divisions and widens social rifts.

“Thus, journalists have to be aware of their sensitive role. They have to possess the utmost level of honesty, sincerity and patriotism whenever they report or write an opinion. They have to focus on public issues, otherwise, their profession will be a tool for achieving personal and sectarian objectives regardless of the interests of all citizens.

“I would like to quote the statement of the editor-inchief of a local daily: ‘The owner of a newspaper is just like the owner of a destructive weapon facing weaponless people. He can fire at them causing massive danger to them while they cannot respond.’ He added, ‘Morals, consciousness and fear of Allah are the only factors which prevented him from committing such a horrible crime.’

“For many years, our society has been bleeding due to prejudice – for sectarian reasons or others. Some of those who lack morals took advantage of the engagement of society in such conditions to commit corruption and steal public money.

“Sadly, a number of media outlets have turned into mouthpieces for promoting corruption and portraying those engaged in such acts with shiny faces and clean hands while the reality is completely different.

“Regrettably, Kuwaiti journalism witnessed deterioration in recent years. Kuwaiti journalism used to compete for the first place among Arab and regional countries. We need some more mortification and some more professionalism.”

“There are so many issues that we need to show our deeper attention instead of dwelling in petty issues. It is very strange that so many of us including our MPs pay so much attention to petty issues, leaving the important issues that they do not even speak about despite the urgency in dealing with them,” wrote for daily.

“American comedian Eddie Griffin was the subject for varying views among people whereby some were in favor and some were against his entry ban. Irrespective of whether Eddie Griffin is banned or not banned from entering Kuwait, he is beyond the limits, as his comedy shows are available on YouTube and television apps such as Netflix and even TV channels owned by Kuwaiti companies that broadcast some of his shows.

“Griffin is not an atheist by the way. He he is a comedian who whose texts and jokes are based on a comic that is the theme of his presentation every time. Generally, what he presents are based on written scripts. He sometimes plays the role of social reformer or as a cynical scorn. He has even criticized the people of his race.

“I thought we are people who are known for the lightness of blood, and not people of heavy blood.

“The strangest aspect of this issue is the MPs’ sharp and resolute response to the Eddie Griffin’s ban, even though there are more deserving, deeper and more influential issues which they do not speak about.”

“The situation in Libya has not been resolved yet. Whenever the political situation becomes calm for some time, conflicts emerge and clashes resume,” Lawyer wrote for daily.

“This is due to the multiple military factions and the presence of two governments – one in East Libya supported by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar and another in West Libya which is recognized internationally.

“The murder of 27 people a few days ago, majority of whom are civilians, did not come as a surprise, as the fight between the rival armed groups in the Libyan capital Tripoli has intensified.

“In the midst of this ongoing conflict, all parties must first agree to find a solution for the unity of Libya. In this era of blocs and federations, it does not make sense to have a single country being torn apart and divided under two governments. The only solution for the return of peace to Libya is the eradication of terrorist, extremist, partisan and tribal groups and to unify the Libyan territory under the umbrella of one strong government.”

“The government has a budget of billions of dinars while development projects are ongoing day and night,” columnist Mubarak Muhammad Al-Hajeri wrote for AlRai daily.

“This prompts us to ask for the reason behind the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training’s (PAAET) negligence in terms of establishing branches for its colleges Ahmadi and Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorates.

“PAAET chose the remote governorate of Jahra as location for the branch of its Faculty of Basic Education, forgetting about the other governorates. This is not the first time that we talk about the confusion and inaction of PAAET concerning the establishment of branches of its colleges.

“Can the dear reader imagine the long distance a student has to travel from Ahmadi or Mubarak Al-Kabeer to reach the Faculty of Basic Education in Jahra and then go to the main building of the faculty in Ardiya to complete his daily lectures? This hard journey is made by our children every day.

“I blame the MPs representing the two governorates for not raising the issue at the Parliament. These MPs complain about the traffic problem they encounter on their way to the National Assembly building which cannot be compared with the remote area the students have to reach daily. We need quick action in this regard. Hopefully, the issue finds a place in your scale of priorities.

“Meanwhile, the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) is taking serious steps towards upgrading its services but there is still much to be done. When renewing the civil ID, the concerned person has go to the headquarters of PACI to receive his new ID.

“Many countries in other parts of the world offer this service through machines installed in different areas including shopping malls. These machines enable citizens to obtain the new ID or even the passport easily. We need to get rid of bureaucracy which disrupts the processing of transactions.”
