KU elections Tuesday was smooth

Meanwhile, the elections of students’ unions for the 2018/2019 academic year in five colleges and various campuses including College of Law and College of Business Administrative Sciences in Shuwaikh campus, College of Engineering and Petroleum in Khaldiya campus, College of Arts in Kaifan campus and Faculty of Medical Sciences in Jabriya campus were held smoothly on Tuesday.

According to a press release issued by Kuwait University, various college buildings were decorated with posters of the competing blocs. The beautiful electoral atmosphere was impressive as ever in all five colleges.

Head of the Supreme Elections Committee Dr Saad Al-Ajmi said the university elections represent a continuation of the democratic process that the people of Kuwait are used to, adding that the turnout was very good in all five colleges.

He stressed that the university elections qualify students to lead and participate positively in the elections and play the right role in choosing their representative through competition and free participation without coercion.
