‘Kuwait keen to boost ties between countries in ACD’
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 25, (KUNA): Director of the Office of Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ambassador Sheikh Dr Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah assured on Monday Kuwait’s interest in promoting integration and cooperation among Asian countries in the economic and development fields.
This came during Sheikh Dr Ahmad Al-Sabah’s participation, in the ministerial meeting of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue Forum (ACD) at the level of the troika states.
The meeting reviewed the ongoing preparations for the upcoming ministerial meeting due to Sept 27 on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly’s 73rd session in New York.
Meanwhile, Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi Monday expressed gratitude and appreciation for the support provided by Kuwait to Yemen at all levels, especially the humanitarian area.
President Hadi praised Kuwait’s role and efforts within the framework of the Security Council and its support to the Yemeni people, and its keenness to establish political and security stability in of Yemen.
This came during a meeting between the Yemeni President and Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
For his part, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled reiterated Kuwait’s firm and principled stance on providing all forms of support to the legitimate government in Yemen in order to reach a solution that will restore security and stability to the brotherly country.
