Salmiya Indian Model School holds exhibition

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 25: The Salmiya Indian Model School (SIMS) recently organized an exhibition which was thrill to watch as parents made their way from one place to another as the students from Grades I to XII enthusiast­ically displayed imaginary models – 3D charts related to a variety of topic.

The entire school premises was abuzz as Mrs Prem Manchanda (retired TGT from Kendriya Vidhyalaya, New Delhi) and V.K. Manchanda (Retired General Manager from the Public Sector undertakin­g) cut the ribbon to declare open the event.

Students from Grades I to V displayed models and exhibits related to what had been taught to them, while Grade VI upwards put up exhibits related to their subjects especially those that interested

them. The parents and teachers commended the hard work and skill shown by the students.

The school auditorium resembled a mini Scientific Centre with an array of Maths and Science projects, the reception building showcased exhibits related to Commerce, Social Science, Arabic and Islamic while the entire corridor was reserved for language related exhibits – English, Hindi and French. The corridor of the Junior Section was a sight to behold. Enthusiasm peaked with students and teachers putting their best foot forward to make it a day to remember.

The exhibition didn’t just concentrat­e on academics but on bringing out the talent and creativity of the students who proved their skill and knowledge with projects like the Solar System, the Digestive System, the Water Cycle, Moving Quadrilate­rals, Rain Water Harvesting, Conversion of Energy, etc. The Arabic & Islamic department­s put up exhibits representi­ng the Arab world – the Kuwait Towers, The Holy Ka’aba, etc.

The Language corridor reverberat­ed with Shakespear­e & his theater, power point presentati­ons of books made into films, the world’s largest libraries, the French Riviera showcasing culture and cuisine, Indian history, culture and traditions in the form of Hindi exhibits.

After the parents left the arena one by one, the students very allowed to have a look at the exhibits from other sections and classes creating a great deal of excitement among them in a discipline­d and organized manner accompanie­d by their class teachers.
