Kuwaiti diplomat ‘affirms’ vital bilateral relations with Georgia

Biredze praises Kuwait’s supportive role

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 24, (KUNA): Kuwait’s Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Services, Ambassador Sami Al-Hamad affirmed on Monday the importance of bilateral relations with the Republic of Georgia.

In a press statement during his participat­ion in the national day reception at the Georgian embassy, Al-Hamad emphasized the relations between both countries are governed by several agreements, expressing the aspiration to coordinate further and exchange visits.

On the other hand, Georgian ambassador Roland Biredze said Kuwaiti-Georgian relations are ideal based on the common approach of internatio­nal issues, pointing to mutual understand­ing that peaceful cooperatio­n is the cornerston­e of continuous developmen­t.

Biredze praised Kuwait’s supportive role to the sovereignt­y, unity, and territoria­l integrity of Georgia and expressed his country’s appreciati­on for the positive position of Kuwait under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad AlJaber Al-Sabah.

He also noted the growing interest in Georgia by thousands of Kuwaitis who vacation in Tbilisi.

Biredze added his country looks forward to new opportunit­ies to further develop close relations with Kuwait in various fields like trade, tourism, and cultural cooperatio­n.
