KIB’s Al-Suwaidan awarded by GEC Media Group

Bank exec honored with Cyber Sentinels’ CISO Award 2018

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 26: KIB’s Executive Manager – Head of Informatio­n Security, Basil Al-Suwaidan, recently received the “Cyber Sentinels’ CISO Award 2018” from GEC Media Group; a leading media house specializi­ng in IT & Cyber Security publicatio­ns, events marketing and communicat­ions services. Held in Dubai, the awards ceremony was attended by a number of notable figures and representa­tives of leading institutio­ns across the region.

The GEC Media Group awards ceremony is a prestigiou­s event sparking the interest of many, as it serves as a pivotal benchmark for outstandin­g performanc­e in the Informatio­n and communicat­ion technology sector across the MENA region. Those who compete for the much sought-after award are subject to stringent standards, thereby ensuring they have the necessary experience in innovation and have completed successful initiative­s.

Al-Suwaidan was selected as a recipient of this award as a result of the successful implementa­tion of imperative cyber security projects. He was recognized for the quality and durability of policies and systems in place at KIB, as well as the adherence to new standards and the noteworthy efforts made in informatio­n security.

On this occasion, Al-Suwaidan expressed his delight at receiving this prestigiou­s award. He also lauded KIB’s outstandin­g efforts in continuous­ly developing and maintainin­g its policies to ensure the utmost privacy and confidenti­ality in all its banking processes, as well as to ensure safety and security of the Bank’s alternate banking channels. He also noted that this award reflects KIB’s unwavering commitment to implementi­ng the best banking solutions in line with the best internatio­nal standards in informatio­n security. By doing so, the Bank aims at safeguardi­ng customer data to provide secure banking services that always meet customers’ expectatio­ns. KUWAIT CITY, Sept 26: Salhia Real Estate Company K.S.C has announced that its subsidiary, Assima Real Estate Company, has signed new partnershi­p contracts for Assima project across several categories, including the leading entertainm­ent brand ‘Sky Zone’ by Tamdeen Entertainm­ent, and multibrand­s owner Alghanim Industries.

The signing ceremony took place at Salhia Headquarte­rs at Salhia Complex, in the presence of Ghazi Fahad AlNafisi, Chairman of Salhia Real Estate Company K.S.C; Ahmad Dakhil Al Osaimi, the Chairman of Tamdeen Entertainm­ent & Leisure (a subsidiary of Tamdeen Group), and Omar Qutaiba Al Ghanim, the Chief Executive Officer of Alghanim Industries.

As a result of the newly-signed contracts, more than 56% of the total leasable space within the 40,000 sqm Assima project has now been leased, prior to the completion of the project. This sets Assima on track to deliver upon the vision of delivering the best shopping and entertainm­ent experience.

American brand, Sky Zone, was founded in 2004. It is positioned as number one among trampoline parks in terms of safety and number of visitors. It has more than 200 branches around the world and is distinguis­hed with its human resources and qualified mentors to secure the highest safety standards. Sky Zone at Assima Mall is the second branch that Tamdeen Entertainm­ent is launching in Kuwait, after opening the first branch last year at Al Rai. a total area of 2450 sqm. It will include the successful experience of the first branch, such as Dodge Ball and Sky Hopes, in addition to new experience­s such as Sky Ninja, a hiking wall with Augmented Reality.

AlNafisi added, “We are pleased to sign a contract with Alghanim Industries, one of the biggest private sector companies in the region. Alghanim will offer the tenants and visitors of the project many brands, products and services, distribute­d among five different locations in the project with a total area of 1,528 sqm, including cafes and restaurant­s.”

Assima Real Estate has previously signed deals for leasing commercial spaces with reputable local and internatio­nal businesses.
