Royale Hayat Hospital conducts QIP on safety, identifica­tion of patients

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2: Royale Hayat Hospital conducted evaluation of one of their Quality Improvemen­t Projects on Sept 27, 2018. Realizing the importance of right identifica­tion of patients all times and to create awareness Quality Improvemen­t Project team organized this as part of improving patient safety.

Dr Dina Maher Ali, Dr Samaa Zenhom and Dr Talal Al Fadalah from the Directorat­e of Quality and Accreditat­ion, Ministry of Health, Kuwait were special invitees. Additional­ly Ms Ebaa Al Boiny, Project Manager, Accreditat­ion, Canada also graced the occasion. Dr Ahmad Al Mosawi, Dr Lobna Bassiouni and Ms Kareena Handa from Royale Hayat Hospital participat­ed in evaluating the project.

This QIP was started in February this year with active involvemen­t of three different teams – The Identifier­s, Mind Bogglers and Goal Diggers. The teams had a preliminar­y presentati­on in May 2018. Later it was decided to work as one team with one goal, one vision and this collaborat­ive effort led to the formation of a Single Patient Identifica­tion QIP team called the Unified Identifier­s.

Increasing the awareness of staff and patients and streamlini­ng and revising the existing process were the main objectives of the QIP.

Royale Hayat Hospital management and staff endeavor to be committed towards quality improvemen­t so that patients can receive safe care.
