Learners’ Own Academy marks 8th Annual Day

A spectacula­r display of talent and fervor

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2: Indian Learner’s Own Academy celebrated its 8th Annual day with unpreceden­ted fanfare on Sept 22. A grand stage with profession­al light and sound system was set up in the school premises. It was a myriad of celebratio­ns replete with music, dazzling dances and hues of color amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation.

The guests of honour were Kapadia, Titus, Mohan, Ms Bushra, Mrs Hana Alenezi and Ms Yulia Schinikova.

national anthems of Kuwait and India. The august gathering was welcomed by the ILOA school choir with a melodious song “Swagatham”.

Ensuing this was the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony.

The Principal Mrs Asha Sharma extended a warm welcome to all the dignitarie­s and read the annual report highlighti­ng the achievemen­ts of the students in academics and co-curricular activities in the academic year 2017-18, which included the Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Award for the Best Principal and Best Students of ILOA.

The release of the much awaited school journal “Quest” added élan to the function.

It was a moment of pride when the students were awarded prizes for their scholastic and co-scholastic achievemen­ts, amid thunderous applause from the audience. After the prize distributi­on Kapadia and Titus addressed the gathering.

On this occasion, 12 staff members were felicitate­d for completion of 5 years of their dedicated service to the institutio­n.

The ground was packed to the corners with eyes locked on the stage where the students performed with vigor and enthusiasm. One could see the skills and talent of the young students being showcased with aplomb. The ebullient dancers of the school danced to the tune of songs with colourful props. The programme rode to a final crescendo with the fervent dance drama. The function concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the school Head Boy Rajat Dang and Head Girl Adorna.

The exhilarati­ng show was an unforgetta­ble experience and left a lasting impression on the minds of everyone present. It was indeed a spectacula­r display of talent and fervor.
