Kuwait Jet Ski team wins 3 medals in Arizona’s Blowsion World Finals
Al-Khaled wins Karting 1st round
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 6, (KUNA): Kuwait’s Jet Ski team managed to win three medals in the 2018 Blowsion World Finals Competition on the third day of the event that is held in Arizona, USA and organized by the International Jet Sports Boating Association (IJSBA).
Abdul-Rahman Al-Omar won the silver in the Expert runabout class, while his teammate Salem Al-Mutawa also with silver in the Novice ski limited class, and Ali Al-Ghanim came out with a bronze medal in the Naturally asp open after winning gold on the first day of this event.
The teams’ coach Abdul-Wahab Al-Omar gave a press statement on Friday saying the competition will continue to run for the coming days until October 7 with the rest of the class events, which will involve the participation of the rest of the team: Mohammad Burbayea and Mohammad Al-Baz.
Meanwhile, Kuwait’s Jet Ski Champion Rashid Al-Dawas on Friday won the second place in the 2018 Blowsion World Finals Competition in Arizona, USA.
In statements to KUNA, via phone, Al-Dawas expressed his happiness of this achievement.
He noted that he is satisfied with this result because he had not practiced on the Jet Ski he used in the race, organized by the International Jet Sports Boating Association (IJSBA).
Al-Dawas won the World Championship two days ago in the professional category (Super Stoke) which kicked off last Monday and continues until Sunday
Furthermore, Kuwait’s Fahad Al-Khaled won the first round of the Middle East Rotax Max Karting challenge, Junior Category, which was held at Al-Ain City, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Friday.
Al-Khaled, of Kuwait Automobile International Club, made this achievement due to his dedication and commitment to the strategy of the race, Club’s chairman Sheikh Ahmad Al-Sabah told KUNA. The race, he added, was a real challenge for Al-Khaled because he was driving against drivers with more experience.
Moreover, Kuwait’s Jet Ski team snatched three more medals on Friday in the 2018 Blowsion World Finals Competition on the fourth day of the event held in Arizona, USA that is organized by the IJSBA.
Competitor Abdul-Rahman Al-Omar won his second medal of the Finals as he got gold in the Stock Asp Nat Runabout Pro-am event, after his third-day silver medal obtained in the SS runabout experts event.
Mohammad Burbayea grabbed the silver medal in the SS runabout Pro event despite running into mechanical difficulties during the race, while his teammate Mohammad Al-Baz who participated in the SS runabout Pro event came in third with a bronze medal.
As the fourth day of the 2018 Blowsion World Finals event comes to an end, the Kuwaiti team has achieved accumulative of nine medals (2 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze), to total 300 points in the competition with one more day to go.
Fatima Abdulmalek and Amira Awad won their respective competitions at His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s Shooting Tournament held at the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex, Friday.
Abdulmalek came in first in the 10-Meter Air Rifle competition after beating Monira Al-Anjri and Yara Al-Khalaf who came in second and third positions respectively.
In the 10-Meter Air Pistol, Awad won the first place after besting second place winner Sheikha Al-Qattan and Asrar Saqer who came in third place.
Meanwhile, the first place in the 50-Meter Rifle Prone went to Turki Al-Shimmari followed by Mohammad Al-Shetail and Majed Hayef.
The shooting competition will conclude tomorrow with both the men’s Skeet and Trap shooting competitions, the women’s 50-meter pistol event, in addition to the Men’s 50-Meter Rifle three positions tournament.
