HH Amir congratula­tes Egypt’s president on 45th ’versary of October 6th victories

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 6, (KUNA): Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of congratula­tions on Friday to Egyptian President Abdel Fatteh el-Sisi marking the occasion of the 45th anniversar­y of the October 6th victories.

In his cable, His Highness the Amir remembered Egyptian armed forces heroic battles, along with Kuwaiti blood which helped liberate the Egyptian territorie­s and in a way that embodied the depth of brotherly ties and relations between the two countries.

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber AlMubarak Al-Hamad AlSabah sent similar cables on the occasion.

Meanwhile, Egypt’s Ambassador to Kuwait Tareq Al-Qouni affirmed on Saturday the deep-rooted bilateral relations between his country and Kuwait, during the past century, including both nation’s sacrifices in the wars of Kuwait’s liberation and October 6th War.

The diplomat added in remarks to the media today, on the occasion of celebratin­g the 45th anniversar­y of October War’s victory, that this epic war witnessed the contributi­on of many Arab nations with soldiers, weapons, military equipment and oil supplies.

Al-Qouni recalled the great sacrifices of Kuwaiti soldiers who lost their lives in this war, defending the Arab national security.

On October 6th, the whole Arab nation united to regain the occupied Arab territorie­s from the grips of Israel through a historic war amid political, economic, regional and internatio­nal challenges.

This war reflected Egyptian people’s great capabiliti­es of overcoming all obstacles and difficulti­es to achieve and fulfill their aspiration­s, he said.

He recalled with great appreciati­on Kuwait’s contributi­on in October War and The War of Attrition, as the Kuwaiti army took part in the fighting with Al-Yarmouk Brigade, and many Kuwaitis martyred in the wars, he affirmed.
