PART finishes major roads projects ahead of schedule
Kuwaiti embassy partakes in ‘Diplomatic Bazaar’
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 6, (KUNA): The Public Authority for Roads and Transportation announced Friday that a major portion of its contractual projects has been completed ahead of schedule.
Among the achieved projects are Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway Doha Link, East Jahra, First Ring Road-Second Phase, Fifth Ring Road-West Section, AlGhous Road-First Phase, Seventh Ring Road, Al-Wafra Road, AlZour Road, Al-Nowaiseeb Road, and Al-Salmi Road, Eng Ahmed Al-Hassan, PART’s Director General and Board Member, stated to KUNA.
The authority is advancing significantly towards achieving all its projects aimed to enhance road network in Kuwait and elevate its efficiency effectively, Al-Hassan said.
Such projects would contribute in solving traffic crisis in the country and giving public road with more flexibility, Al-Hassan added.
PART is determined to accelerate the pace of achieving all its projects and hand them ahead of time in accordance with the plan that aim to modernize road network in the country as part Kuwait 2035 Vision, he noted.
The authority had previously announced an integrated scheme to implement around 74 projects aimed to enhance roads and infrastructure and facilitate traffic in the country.
It had also mentioned allocation KD 500 million, nearly $1.65 billion, to implement all its projects.
Meanwhile, Kuwait’s embassy in Jordan participated on Saturday in the annual fundraising “Diplomatic Bazaar” to support orphans.
Kuwait is keen on contributing to such events annually as part of its humanitarian strategy to help needy people worldwide, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Jordan Abdulaziz Al-Daihani said in a statement to KUNA in the opening ceremony of the bazaar organized by Mabarrat Um Al-Hussein in the presence of its president Basma bint Talal.
Al-Daihani said that all the income raised from this event will be given entirely to Mabarrat Um Al-Hussain’s humanitarian projects, especially to its childcare services for orphans.
The Kuwaiti diplomat hoped that this event can achieve its purposes in easing the human suffering of the orphans.
