New Mowasat to hold Int’l Symposium on Digestive Diseases and Endoscopy

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 9: Under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Health Dr Basel Al Sabah and the presence of worldwide leading consultants in digestive diseases and endoscopy New Mowasat Hospital will hold the 9th International Symposium of Digestive Diseases and Endoscopy on Oct 13 – 14, chaired by Dr Mahmoud Omar, Clinical Director, Digestive Disease and Endoscopy at New Mowasat Hospital and Dr Jaber Al Ali Professor of Medicine – Kuwait University
Dr Mahmoud Omar stressed,”The conference will discuss the new strategies in managing Digestive Diseases”. “The conference focuses on future treatment of obesity, DM and NASH”.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Symposium Dr Mahmoud Omar, Consultant and Clinical Director of the Digestive Disease & Endoscopy at New Mowasat Hospital, stressed that the conference shows great interest in all that is new in the Digestive Tract and Endoscopy fields.That the conference will host a group of prominent consultants from worldwide.
Dr Omar pointed ou tthat the conference will be attended by seven of the top consultants in the digestive disease where Professor Jacque Devière from Brussels will do lecture on new obesity management by endoscopic techniques and there is a special session on challenges in managing bile duct waves and tumors.
Dr Sabine Roman from France will present cases on swallowing difficulty.
Dr Jaber Al Ali, Associate Professor of Medicine of Kuwait, Faculty of Medicine and Co-Director of the Conference will present his experience on endoscopic managing of obesity.
Dr Mahmoud Omar elaborated that the conference will be held with the participation of a group of specialized doctors in the Digestive Tract from Kuwait and the Arab world, including Dr Ahmed Alfadhly, Dr Mohamad Malik and Dr Asmaa Al Kandary, as well as Dr Metwally Afifi, Dr Mahmoud Al-Sayed, and Dr Yussry Taher from Egypt. He explained that the invitation is open to all doctors of the digestive system to attend the conference as well as to Pediatricians, Radiologists, Oncology and General Practitioners in different hospitals and clinics, as well as members of the nursing staff, pointing out that the presence of this group will enrich their experience and widen their knowledge,where these ssions will focus on the most significant developments in the world of the Digestive System Disease and the time needed for patients to use endoscopes either for examination or treatment.
