Kuwait-Saudi relationsh­ip above all considerat­ions: Al-Jarallah

Kuwait’s ambassador, Tunisian parliament Speaker discuss bilateral ties

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 13, (KUNA): Kuwait’s Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah said Thursday the relations with sisterly Saudi Arabia are huge enough to absorb any issue related to the shared interests.

The recent visit to Kuwait by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud signaled the commitment of both sides to strengthen the already close relationsh­ip, Al-Jarallah told reporters.

He made the remarks on the sidelines of his participat­ion in a celebratio­n by Embassy of Spain in Kuwait to mark the national day of Spain.

On the Kuwaiti-Saudi neutral zone, also known as the Divided Zone, Al-Jarallah said “the candid and transparen­t talks” with Saudi Crown Prince during the visit dealt with this issue and led to positive results.

“We reaffirmed our vision for resolving this issue in a way that could ensure the higher interests of both countries. We are looking forward to working with our brothers in Saudi Arabia to make this matter a thing of the past,” he revealed.

“This important visit provided an opportunit­y for discussing other hot topics such as the Gulf crisis,” he said, noting that the concerned parties have yet to make a breakthrou­gh in their quest for a specific agreement.

Meanwhile, Kuwait Ambassador to Tunisia Ali Al-Dhafiri met on Friday Speaker of the Tunisian Assembly of the Representa­tives of the People Mohamed Ennaceur.

The meeting tackled means to strengthen ties, Ambassador Al-Dhafiri told KUNA.

He lauded the strong relations between the two countries, calling for furthering cooperatio­n in various domains.
