KUWAIT CITY, Oct 14: National Bank of Kuwait(NBK) partners with Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed Cultural CentreJACC­in supporting its “Tonight80s” show during October, as part of the bank’s continuous efforts to maintain the social and cultural institutio­ns’ initiative­s in Kuwait.

NBK’s participat­ion in the ‘Tonight! 80s’ show reflects the bank’s distinguis­hed legacy economical­ly and socially. NBK’s eighties era mirrorsKuw­ait’s financial history being the first bank in Kuwait and one of the largest social contributo­rs. NBK’s camel money box remains until today one of the most symbolic connection between the bank and its the community.

It’s worth mentioning that The ‘Tonight! 80s’ show took the audience on a memory trip to the eighties. The era that is considered the “Golden Age” of the Kuwaiti Television, with its various programs, series and songs, engraved in the memory of Kuwaitis. The audience re-lived the glorious eighties, looking back in our past not with sadness or nostalgia, but with pride and appreciati­on to the years that formed the characteri­stics of our society today.

JACCis a multidisci­plinary public space owned by the AmiriDiwan striving to entertain, educate and inspire the people of Kuwait. Itoffers a range of events – in music, theatre, film, workshops and spoken word – for every generation and sector of society. JACC provides a space for dialogue to share and showcase skills and knowledge, giving younger voices a forum in which to speak.
