KOC Blues maintain Int’l Red Hockey Championship lead as playoff matches conclude
Kuwait Independence Hockey and International Red teams pose with referees Sherwin Dsouza & Waseem Ahmed before their playoff at the KOC Hockey Grounds, Ahmadi Park on Oct 12. Kuwait Expatriate Hockey Association’s (KEHA) second last weekend of playoff matches of the prestigious International Red Hockey Championship concluded at the KOC Hockey Grounds, Ahmadi Park on Friday.
Kuwait Independence Hockey in their fifth and final match had Sohail score twice and Chamkour, Simran & Diljeet scoring one goal each to defeat International Reds Hockey out-right.
KOC Blues rounded up their fixtures of the group stage matches with 4 goals off the stick of Mohammed Hosni in the 3rd and 4th quarters of the game, and an opening goal off Hossam Jabran trouncing Team Domnic Savio in the second game of the day; the only solace for Team Domnic Savio was brought about by Karl Tucker.
On this penultimate day of the league matches, KOC Blues continue to lead the standings table with 5 wins off their 5 matches. Oct 19 fixtures at the KOC Hockey Grounds, Ahmadi Park are as follows: 4 pm – KHK v/s Domnic Savio & 5 pm – IRH v/s KOC Greens.
