Dominican FM commends HH the Amir’s role in solving differences
Vargas says submitted official invitation to HH to visit his country
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18, (KUNA): Dominican Republic’s Foreign Minister Miguel Vargas on Wednesday commended the role of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as a Humanitarian Leader in solving regional differences through dialogue.
Speaking in an exclusive statement to KUNA, Vargas said he submitted an official invitation to His Highness the Amir and senior officials to visit the Dominican Republic. He added that his visit to Kuwait was “positive and successful” with all measures, and forms a new phase of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
He noted that he met with His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak AlHamad Al-Sabah, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled AlHamad Al-Sabah.
Four cooperation agreements on the commercial and diplomatic cooperation and others were signed between the two sides, the visiting official stated.

Means of promoting cooperation in different fields were discussed with Minister of Finance Nayef Al-Hajraf, Minister of Education and Higher Education Hamed Al-Azmi, Director General of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development Abdulwahab Al-Bader and Chairman of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Ali Al-Ghanim, Vargas revealed.
He noted that he invited some officials of KCCI to visit his country as be briefed on available investment opportunities in the areas of tourism, real estate and others.
Asked about his country’s non-permanent membership of the UN Security Council that will start next January, he said the Dominican Republic and Kuwait would work together on achieving international peace and stability.
He concluded that his country would also discuss, at the council, several international topics like climate change, arms trafficking and others to solve them.
