His Highness Amir sends condolence cable to Sudan’s president
HH the Amir expresses sympathy to Tunisia after floods
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18, (KUNA): His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of condolences to Sudan’s President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir on Thursday over the death of Sudan’s former president Marshal Abdel Rahman Suwar Al-Dahab, expressing his deepest sorrow and grief.
His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah also sent similar cables to President Al-Bashir.
Sudan’s former president Marshal Abdel Rahman Suwar Al-Dahab died in a military hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday.
Sudan’s presidency said in a statement that Al-Dahab contributed to Sudan, Arab, and Islamic nation’s services and humanitarian work.
Born in 1935, he graduated from Sudanese Military Academy and studied in Britain, the US, Egypt and Jordan.
He served in the military until he was selected as chief of staff, minister of defense and general commander of the armed forces.
Meanwhile, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah cabled Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi, expressing heartfelt solace on demise of Tunisians in the floods that swept some Tunisian regions, inflicting casualties and demolishing properties.
His Highness the Amir wished heavenly mercy for souls of the deceased, wished the injured quick recovery and for empowering the Tunisian leaders to cope with the catastrophe.
Their Highnesses the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, addressed cables of identical content to the Tunisian president.
