Municipality crackdown:
Director of General Hygiene and Road Occupancy Department at Kuwait Municipality Melfi Al-Hawali says the department placed warning stickers on 565 abandoned vehicles, lifted 43 abandoned vehicles, released 15 vehicles, issued citations for 53 serious violations, issued ten licenses for tables and chairs, renewed licenses of two tire-repair shops, issued a cooler license and renewed three others, issued four licenses for temporary works, and removed 75,525 cubic meters of waste materials, scraps, fallen trees, construction wastes and other items, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The total amount received by the department is KD 6,920.
The Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality called on owners and employees of all commercial shops to abide by the municipality rules and regulations.
It urged the public to call the hotline No.139 or contact via the social media account of the municipality @kuwmun to report any complaints or submit their enquiries related to services and operations of Kuwait Municipality.
