Actress Shimaa Ali delivered her third baby, a girl named Al-Zain, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

She posted a photo of her with her baby at the hospital on social networking site Snapchat to reassure her followers and colleagues.

Distinguis­hed director Mohammad Al-Qaffas is currently filming his new drama, “Al-Azraa” (The Virgin), reports Al-Anba daily.

Brothers Ali and Mohammad Shams Al-Dein wrote the script for the drama which is produced by Bassem Abdul Amir.

The cast include many famous actors such as Shojoon.

The Cultural Committee at the Political Science Department in the College of Social Sciences at Kuwait University organized a symposium titled, “Effects of Congress Elections on America’s Foreign Relations and the Middle East,” reports Al-Anba daily.

Political Science Professor at Kuwait University Abdullah Al-Shaiji delivered a lecture at the event with Head of Political Science Department Dr Hassan Jawhar, Professor Abdulreda Asseri, Dr Ghanem Al-Najjar and a number of students in attendance.

Al-Shaiji said the remaining two years of the term of American President Donald Trump consist of struggles and surprises that might lead to his re-election for a second term or the end of his political career. He pointed out Trump has threatened that if the Democrats will open files and form fact-finding committees, he will instruct his allies in the Congress to do the same.

He added the results of the US Congress midterm elections are attributed to Trump’s positions that brought about cracks in the American society.

Statistics released by the Statistics and Research Department in the Ministry of Justice revealed that the number of marriages over the last nine months reached 10,355 compared to 476 divorce cases (4.5 percent), reports Al-Qabas daily.

The statistics added the reconcilia­tion cases reached 1,739 out of 6,943 or 25.7 percent.
