Timbre Talkers to hold 200th meeting

Timbre Talkers Toastmasters will mark its 200th meeting on Nov 27, Tuesday. The meeting, as always, is open for anyone interested to attend.

Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization, with over 345,000 members in over 141 countries, and 16,400 clubs.

Timbre Talkers is one of the fastest growing and most charismatic clubs in Kuwait that helps members to discover their passion for public speaking and become better leaders. The club’s members are an enthusiastic and vibrant group from all walks of life. Members also include past Division Directors, Area Directors and past Area and Division level winners.

“We pride ourselves in the quality of our meetings, the mentoring we provide and our talented members,” says TM Thejeswi Menon, VP Education.

Set up in 2010, the club has been dedicated to helping people become better speakers and leaders. The Club’s 200th meeting will be marked with a celebrationstyle meeting with several dignitaries and guests from the Toastmasters fraternity in attendance.

The club hosts its fortnightly meetings on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at Better Books Store, Salmiya at 7.15 pm.

At Toastmasters, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment. A typical Toastmasters club is made up of 20 to 30 people who meet once or twice a month for a few hours. Members get several opportunities to plan and conduct meetings and events, present speeches based on projects from Toastmasters’ programs, present impromptu speeches and receive suggestions for improvement.
