Kuwaiti cultural center ‘wins’ International Property Award
Award reflects interest in cultural facilities
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 9, (KUNA): Kuwait’s Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Center has won the Best Architecture Single Residence in the Middle East as part of the International Property Awards.
Assistant Undersecretary of the Amiri Diwan for Engineering Affairs Eng Nyaz Khaja was handed the award during a ceremony held in London.
Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Centre is one of the world’s largest cultural complexes housing a total of 22 galleries with over 1,100 exhibits. It was set up at the behest of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
This latest achievement clearly reflects Kuwait’s interest in cultural facilities.
The complex his come to a Natural History Museum, Science and Technology Museum, a Fine Arts Centre, Arabic Islamic Science Museum, Space Museum, and Theatre.
