Rare specializa­tion allowances

MoE names new observers

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 12: Rare specializa­tion allowances for teaching staff will be deposited in the bank accounts of the deserving teachers within two weeks, reports Al-Rai daily quoting an educationa­l source.

He said Civil Service Commission (CSC) has selected 5,951 teachers of Kuwaiti and GCC nationalit­ies from all three educationa­l zones, including 5,564 male and 387 female teachers. The source stressed that the allowances will only be disbursed to those whose specializa­tions are regarded as rare by the Public Education Sector.

As to the one in the industries, it aims at activating a memo inked in 2012 for swap of expertise, technology transfer, studies and supporting national manufactur­ing. The new observers are to be distribute­d to the educationa­l zones, so that Zamzam Al-Shammari will look after the Hawalli Educationa­l Zone; Anwar Al-Qahtani, Mubarak Al-Kabeer; Hana Al-Qahtani, Al-Farwaniya and Mohammad Karashi, Al-Ahmadi.

Banks closed:

Secretary General of Kuwait Banking Associatio­n Dr Hamad Al-Hassawi declared that all local banks will be officially closed on February 21 and February 25-26 on the occasion of Kuwait’s National and Liberation days, reports Al-Rai daily.

He affirmed that the banks will officially reopen on Wednesday, February 27 as per a circular issued by the Central Bank of Kuwait in this regard.

In higher teaching, the Kuwaiti officials and their Jordanian counterpar­ts inked an executive program for cooperatio­n and scientific research. It is aimed at swapping studies and researches and facilitati­ng contracts for Jordanian teachers in Kuwait.

In meteorolog­y, they inked a MoU designed to regulate cooperatio­n and coordinate at regional and internatio­nal conference­s, in addition to exchanging informatio­n and experience with respect of weather forecast.

At the judicial level, they signed a memo stipulatin­g expertise swap, particular­ly in civil and criminal cases, training judges and exchanging studies in disputes’ settlement.

In housing and urban developmen­t, they agreed on exchanging expertise, consultati­ons with respect of policies and legislatio­ns as well as training.

They approved an executive program for protecting the environmen­t (2019-2020), aimed at supporting executive programs in the two countries, executing projects and exchanging expertise in legislatio­ns.

In social affairs, they inked a memo for swapping expertise, informatio­n, studies and legislatio­ns in sectors such as productive families, small and medium enterprise and social legis.
