MoE names new observers
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 12: Rare specialization allowances for teaching staff will be deposited in the bank accounts of the deserving teachers within two weeks, reports Al-Rai daily quoting an educational source.
He said Civil Service Commission (CSC) has selected 5,951 teachers of Kuwaiti and GCC nationalities from all three educational zones, including 5,564 male and 387 female teachers. The source stressed that the allowances will only be disbursed to those whose specializations are regarded as rare by the Public Education Sector.

The new observers are to be distributed to the educational zones, so that Zamzam Al-Shammari will look after the Hawalli Educational Zone; Anwar Al-Qahtani, Mubarak Al-Kabeer; Hana Al-Qahtani, Al-Farwaniya and Mohammad Karashi, Al-Ahmadi.
Banks closed:
Secretary General of Kuwait Banking Association Dr Hamad Al-Hassawi declared that all local banks will be officially closed on February 21 and February 25-26 on the occasion of Kuwait’s National and Liberation days, reports Al-Rai daily.
He affirmed that the banks will officially reopen on Wednesday, February 27 as per a circular issued by the Central Bank of Kuwait in this regard.

In higher teaching, the Kuwaiti officials and their Jordanian counterparts inked an executive program for cooperation and scientific research. It is aimed at swapping studies and researches and facilitating contracts for Jordanian teachers in Kuwait.
In meteorology, they inked a MoU designed to regulate cooperation and coordinate at regional and international conferences, in addition to exchanging information and experience with respect of weather forecast.
At the judicial level, they signed a memo stipulating expertise swap, particularly in civil and criminal cases, training judges and exchanging studies in disputes’ settlement.
In housing and urban development, they agreed on exchanging expertise, consultations with respect of policies and legislations as well as training.
They approved an executive program for protecting the environment (2019-2020), aimed at supporting executive programs in the two countries, executing projects and exchanging expertise in legislations.
In social affairs, they inked a memo for swapping expertise, information, studies and legislations in sectors such as productive families, small and medium enterprise and social legis.
