CAPSS celebrates Bharani Kazhchakal
Chettikulangara Amma Pravasi Seva Samithi (CAPSS) Kuwait celebrated their second mega annual festival “Bharani Kazhchakal 2019”, on 8th February 2019 at Indian Central School, Jleeb Al Shuyoukh.
Cultural richness was evident throughout the program and was a visual treat to thousands of participants.
The day-long program started with devotional song and traditional dance followed by the Inaugural Cultural Meeting. The program was inaugurated by Bhajan King Sri Prasanth Varma. Dr Santha Mariam, Principal of Indian Central School was the chief guest of the program. CAPSS Kuwait president Sri Muralidharan presided over the meeting, General Secretary Sri Akash Heman welcomed the crowd. Sri Pramod Sylanandini, Sri Pradeep Sylanandini (famous kuthiyotta singers of Central Travancore) and advisory board member Sri Binoy Chandran gave their felicitations. Association Treasurer Sri Saji Govind proposed the vote of thanks.
Advisory board member Sri Anoop released the first copy of the souvenir “Bharani Kazhchakal–2019” by handing over to Sri Hari Balaramapuram.
During the event, Advisory board member Sri Jayapalan Nair, Executive members Sri Rajesh, Sri Kishore and Joint Treasurer Sri Ranjith Balanpillai, honoured Sri Prasanth Varma, Sri Pramod Sylanandini, Sri Pradeep Sylanandini, Dr Santha Mariam respectively. There after a marvelous visual treat provided by the Bharathanjali School of Dance & Chilmpoli School of Dance based on Chettikulangara “mahatmyam”, devotional songs sung by Master Rohit Shyam, Vinayak Varma & Sri Blakrishnan.
The main programs of the event were “Kuthiyotta Chuvadum pattum” led by Sri Pramod & Sri Pradeep (famous kuthiyotta singers of Central Travancore) along with CAPSS Sree Bhadra Kuthiyotta Samithi, and devotional bhajan (Manasajapalahari) conducted by Bhajan King Sri Prasanth Varma & Team. Other program highlights were “Pandi Melam” of Sri Susanth Kozhikode & Team (Keli Vadya Kala Peedam), Thalapoli and Kettukazhcha.
School auditorium was tightly packed with a huge crowd. Kanji Sadya (Traditional Feast) was served to over 5,000 participants. CAPSS executive members Sri Rathesh Vijayan & Sri UnniKrishnan coordinated the stage programs and Smt Jisha & Smt Sidhu controlled the stage.
