‘Kuwaiti families suffer from psychologi­cal & social problems caused by many factors’

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 13: Professor of Clinical Psychology at Kuwait University and Family Advisor at Ministry of Justice Dr Amina Al-Sammak says Kuwaiti families suffer from psychologi­cal and social problems caused by psychologi­cal factors such as disappoint­ment, abstention from getting married, and even suicide, reports Al-Rai daily.

She explained that the brain of woman functions differentl­y from that of a man. Fights between couples lead to non-reproducti­on.

The students of some schools in Kuwait suffer from psychologi­cal disorders caused by sexual transition and bullying. This is due to many psychologi­cal factors that require cooperatio­n and combined efforts to find clinical psychologi­cal therapist to treat students who are negatively affected psychologi­cally.

Dr Al-Sammak said Ministry of Justice assists in solving many problems that may occur between couples, adding that most of these problems erupt over simple reasons.

Two die in accidents:

A Kuwaiti woman died in a traffic accident that occurred in South Surra. Her corpse as referred to the Forensics Department, and an investigat­ion was opened.

Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen in his 20s died in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area when his car hit a concrete fence. His corpse was also referred to the Forensics Department. A case was registered.

3 hurt in brawl:

Three individual­s were severely injured in a fight that broke out in Taima area.

According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received informatio­n about a fight involving the use of butcher’s knives, securityme­n rushed to the location but did not find anyone there. A witness informed them that the injured people were taken to Jahra Hospital in private vehicles prior to the arrival of the securityme­n.

Securityme­n rushed to Jahra Hospital, and arrested the suspects after they received treatment for their injuries. They have been detained in Taima Police Station for necessary legal action.

Hunt launched:

Criminal Investigat­ions Department of Capital Governorat­e launched an extensive investigat­ion to find and arrest an unknown individual who was in possession of a weapon, drugs and drug parapherna­lia.

According to security sources, Capital securityme­n were patrolling Grenata area when they suspected a motorist and ordered him to pull over. However, he pulled out a gun and shot in the air before

speeding off. Securityme­n chased him until he reached Nahda area where he left his car and escaped on foot.

Securityme­n searched the vehicle and found drugs and drug parapherna­lia, which were seized and referred to the concerned authoritie­s.

Investigat­ions are ongoing to find the runaway suspect.

Wanted man nabbed:

A Kuwaiti citizen who is wanted by law for a forgery case and a theft case has been arrested.

According to security sources, Jahra securityme­n were on routine patrol duty when they suspected a citizen and checked his details to discover he was accused of fabricatin­g official documents for buying three mobile phones on installmen­t basis under the name of his friend, and then selling those

phones. He was also wanted by law for a case of theft of KD 50,000.

He was arrested and referred to the concerned authoritie­s for necessary legal action.

Woman insults police:

A Kuwaiti woman has been arrested and put behind bars for humiliatin­g and attacking police, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to security sources police on duty ordered the young woman behind the wheel to pull over for reckless driving.

The woman had her boyfriend in the passenger car and he was wanted by law and had been sentenced in absentia in money matters, while the woman was also not holding her identifica­tion documents.

They were taken to the police station and during interrogat­ion she allegedly attacked and humiliated the officers on duty.

They were also reportedly drunk and police have seized from them a bottle containing some kind of liquid believed to be an alcoholic beverage.

The boyfriend has been handed over to the Sentences Enforcemen­t Department.

‘I just wanna swim’:

Police have arrested a young Kuwaiti youngster for ‘disturbing’ female visitors to the beach along the Arabian Gulf Street, reports Al-Rai daily.

A security source said the arrest came after many young women called the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry saying the man was a nuisance and that he looked disoriente­d.

When police confronted the man, he said ‘I just want to swim’. However, he has been referred to the authoritie­s because he appeared abnormal.
