Indian Independen­ce Day:

The 73rd Independen­ce Day of India will be celebrated in the Indian Embassy premises at Daiya Area, Gulf Road, on Thursday, August 15, 2019. The unfurling of the National Flag will take place at 0800 hrs, followed by singing of the National Anthem and presentati­on of patriotic songs by the members of the Indian Community.

Kuwait Wayanad Associatio­n (KWA) is holding an extraordin­ary general meeting on Aug 16 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Abbasiya Poppins Hall. Advisory for OCI card holders:

All those having OCI Cards are required to carry both their OCI Card and passport to travel to India so that they do not face any difficulty in immigratio­n clearance.

From October 2018, ICAO will accept only machine readable travel documents, hence, existing PIO Cards, which are handwritte­n will therefore, become invalid. Thus it will be necessary upon PIO Cardholder­s to obtain machine readable OCI Cards in lieu of existing hand written PIO Cards before October 2018 to avoid any inconvenie­nce.

Q8BBall Season 13:
