Decision issued on partial reshuffling of Municipality branches’ chiefs
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 15: The parliamentary activity resumes after the Eid Al-Adha holidays end by focusing on the most important issues to be included in the priorities for the next phase, reports AlAnba daily.
Sources said the Finance Committee of the National Assembly has informed the daily that the committee will soon start discussing all parliamentary proposals on amendments to the social security law, including the issue of pension and the reduction of the value of the good loan installment from 25 percent to 10 percent.
The sources added that the Committee will discuss the proposals with the Ministry of Finance, the Public Institute for Social Security and the relevant authorities, in addition to involving MPs in the debate to develop a final vision through which the issue can be resolved.
The sources pointed out that the Committee intends to finish the issue before the beginning of the next session to submit its report to the Parliament in preparation for agreement and approval by the government. The sources stressed that the Committee is very interested in achieving benefits for citizens, especially the retirees, as there are many amendments to the social security law, some of which did not do justice to this category of society.
