Sheikh Sabah receives phone call from Lebanese president

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 24, (KUNA): His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Friday a phone call from Lebanese President Michel Aoun, checking up on him after his recent health problem.

His Highness the Amir expressed appreciation for President Aoun’s concern and wished him long healthy life and more development for Lebanon, which is part of the strong deep-rooted KuwaitiLebanese ties.

Meanwhile, His Highness the Amir received Saturday a congratulatory cable from 2018 Nobel Peace Prize winner Nadia Murad on the recovery of His Highness from the recent health setback.

In the cable, the Nobel laureate expressed heartfelt felicitations to His Highness the Amir, praying that His Almighty may keep His Highness well.

The (Gulf) region needs leaders like His Highness the Amir for making a future of security and prosperity for the peoples; Murad said in the cable, describing His Highness the Amir as a leader of big heart, wishing him a long life

In reply, His Highness the Amir sent a cable to “his daughter Mrs Nadia Murad,” thanking the Nobel laureate for her kind words and sentiments, also wishing her lasting wellness and success.

Also, His Highness the Amir received Friday a congratulatory cable from Chairman of Kuwait’s Supreme Judicial Council and the Cassation Court, and President of the Constitutional Court, Justice Yousef Jassem Al-Mutawaa, on recovery of his recent health setback.

In reply, His Highness the Amir sent a cable to Al-Mutawaa thanking him for his kind words and sentiments.
