Policeman stabbed:

An unidentifi­ed Kuwaiti has been arrested for stabbing a policeman with a knife working at a police station in Ahmadi following a verbal altercatio­n between them, reports Al-Rai daily.

The victim has been admitted to the Adan Hospital and the suspect referred for investigat­ion.

According to security sources, the attack happened when the policeman stopped the suspect to check his documents because he had violated the traffic rules. The source added that in the meantime, the support patrols requested by the policeman had arrived, where the defendant was seized and detained in the area outpost

The policeman was transporte­d to Al-Adan hospital where he was treated, and legal action is being taken against the accused.

Kuwaiti held for theft:

Personnel from the Criminal Investigat­ion Department have arrested an unidentifi­ed Kuwaiti who is suspected of committing several thefts in the Tenth Area, reports Al-Anba daily.

The securityme­n said the arrest came after the man was spotted on one of the CCTV cameras installed in the house of a Kuwaiti. When he was caught he was seen driving an expensive car and had in his car what he had stolen two years ago.

The man’s fingerprin­ts have been taken to match them with fingerprin­ts lifted from the scene of thefts.

Wallet stolen from bag:

An unidentifi­ed female Kuwaiti employee working for a dispensary in Jahra has filed a complaint with the police accusing an unidentifi­ed person of stealing her wallet from her bag, reports Al-Anba daily. She did not point a finger of accusation at anyone but said it may be her co-worker or any other employee. Police are investigat­ing. On the other hand, an Egyptian man has filed a complaint with the Farwaniya Police Station accusing an unknown person of stealing his mobile phone from his vehicle after breaking the side glass.

Indian beaten, robbed:

Police are looking for two unidentifi­ed persons for impersonat­ing police and beating an Indian and stealing his money (500 dinars), reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added the Indian has filed a complaint with the Saad Al-Abdullah Police Station and submitted a medical report showing injuries on his body.

Cafe worker beaten:

Police are looking for an unidentifi­ed person for assaulting a Kuwaiti inside a café because of a dispute over the food order, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily quoting the security sources said the man was taken to the Jahra Hospital for treatment before filing a complaint against the man at the area police station.

It is believed the suspect is a daily customer at that particular café.

Traffic row brawl:

Two Kuwaitis were involved in insults and beating because of a traffic dispute, reports Al-Rai daily

At the police station, the men have allegedly accused each other and both have submitted medical reports to show injuries on their bodies.

Police are investigat­ing the incident.
